Passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2026; aged 51 years.  Loved and adored husband of Kylie, cherished Dad of Jess, and Murphy, treasured son of Janet and the late Grahame Champness, beloved brother and brother-in-law of Pierre and Petra (Canada), Charles (Switzerland), and Naomi and Stephan.  

- A Memorial Service to remember the Lyle we knew and loved, will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 10am, on Wednesday, April 22. Following the service, you are welcome to attend a "Lyle style" gathering at the Waitati Hall, 26 Harvey Street, Waitati.
