To Chris & Jocey’s family, always remember Chris working in the BNZ bank in Lawrence and waiting on a Friday evening for him to finish work, load into his Humber or Hilman car, later the VW and head down to Labes’s flat for a few beers. He was a city boy in the country and a heck of a lot of fun. We had a lot of good times with Chris & Jocey through the 1970,s in the “Jaycee’s”. Many social times. With Jocey now, rest in peace.

My condolences to Chris and Jocey's family I am a cousin of Jocey. My late husband and I had some great times with both Jocey and Chris especially when they were newly married. I recall one particular time when we unexpectedly met on the Cook Strait ferry. Our car broke down just out of Blenheim and Chris helped organise its recovery and brought us home to Christchurch. It was a fun trip with them. My thoughts are with you.

So sad to hear of Chris passing. Socialised with him over the years, and he always had a ready smile and a hearty laugh. My thoughts are with his family.

To the family of Chris and Jocey. We remember the fun times we had together back in the 1970’s. Rest peacefully Chris. Kindest regards from Kelly and Jane Fahey.

Sad to hear of Chris's passing. I knew Chris well through our time together in 31 (B) Battery RNZA. He gave me some valuable guidance in my early years, both in the Army and in life. He was a good man and will be missed. Ubique.

I knew Chris many years ago in the 1980’s when I was serving as a member of 31(B) Bty. I remember Chris as a considerate, thoughtful and supportive senior NCO. His attention to detail in the command post, guidance and leadership ensured successful and enjoyable annual camps at Tekapo. Gunners will always be ‘Ubique’....
