On Friday, May 9, 2025, peacefully at Leslie Groves Hospital; aged 92 years.
Loved wife of the late Raymond Foote, dearly loved Mum of Karen and John Hawkins, Ged and Judith Forbes, Lawrie and Sarndra Forbes, loved step-mother of Lynette Foote, Ross Foote, Denise Jeffares, Debbie and Michael Collins, Vicki and Allan Reay, Anne-marie and Peter Reeve, loved Grandma Avis of Nick and Katherine, Hamish and Krystal, Jacob and Latia; Christopher and Rosanna, Emily and Bevan Williams, Jonathan and Itala; AJ and Kelsi; and great-grandma of many.
A celebration of Avis' life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 2pm on Thursday, May 15, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Mornington Methodist Church would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
