George passed away peacefully at Glendale Rest Home in Dunedin.
Cherished son of Doris and William Haggie, loved brother of Gwitha, and Janice.
He lived a long and happy life filled with family, gardening, tramping, and storytelling.
Loved husband of Ngaire, and dad, grandad and great-grandad of Stephen, Christopher, Michael, Peter, Maryanne, Julie and Timothy, and their families.
Beloved husband of Elisabeth, and loved by the Gamperle and Matai families.
A service to celebrate George's life will be held at St Peter Chanel Catholic Church, Main South Road, Green Island at 11am on Wednesday June 18, the funeral then leaving for the Dunedin Cemetery.
