On March 29, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. Dearly loved wife of Nader Hanna, much loved mother of Sherief Riad, and Hady Riad, sister of Amani Hanna, and sister-in-law of Adel Hanna, and Ihab Barsoum.
A service for Maha will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 1; a Coptic Church service for Maha will be held in the Timaru Coptic Church, 79 Sophia Street, Timaru on Wednesday, April 2, the funeral then leaving for Timaru Cemetery.
