On December 14, unexpectedly, at Dunedin Hospital, surrounded by love and family; aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Jenny for 56 years, loved and adored Dad of Charlene, and Shaun, loved Grandad of Marco, and Maia; Chloe, Joshua, and Olivia, friend to Ferdi, and Mel. Thank you to the Intensive Care Unit at Dunedin Hospital for their care of John.
Beloved son of the late Charlie and Jean Hurley, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Robyn and John Westgarth, Lavona Stevenson, Lea and Ian Bartholomew, loved uncle to Michael, Jan, Tania, Kim, Alana, Nadine, Dean, Adam, Lisa, Sam, Joe, and Elliot.
Loved son-in-law of the late Denis and Gwen, loved brother-in-law of Russell and Trish Birt, Phillippa and Bill Labes. Loved uncle of Erena, and Karena Birt, Nikola, Janey, and Will Labes.
