On June 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family, after an epic battle; aged 73 years.
Loved husband of Judith for nearly 50 years, loved Dad and father-in-law of Matt and Carla, Shannon and Lisa, loved Grandad of James, Keylee, Olivia, Raikkon, Makkai, Jaiden, and Georgie, loved son and son-in-law of Matt* and Joy*, and Melda and Mocky*, loved older brother and brother-in-law of Marilyn and Jeff, Eleanor and Malcolm, Gillian and Graeme*, Isabelle and Butch; Trish and Chris, Minnie and Max, and their families (*denotes deceased).
Doug's family wish to thank Tessa and the Oncology Team, and everyone at the Otago Community Hospice for their care and support.
A celebration of Doug's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 11am on Thursday, June 19, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service or below.
