MITCHELL, Maurice Morgan (MMM)
29 September 1931 – 30 October 2026. 

Passed away peacefully at Dunedin Hospital on Friday; aged 95 years.  Dearly loved husband of Hilary, much loved father and father-in-law of Virginia*, Janey and Mark, and Marc and Gayaleen, cherished grandfather of Brooke, Georgia, Mat and Hannah, and proud great-grandfather of Peyton.  Loved brother of Alison*, Mavon, Corinne, Fergie*, loved uncle to his nieces and nephews and their families.  (*denotes deceased)

Heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Dunedin Hospital, and Summerset at Bishops Court.  A remarkable man of great intellect, strength and determination.  Maurice possessed a brilliant legal mind and enjoyed a long and distinguished career, earning the respect of many throughout his life.  A man of strong principles and unwavering conviction, who could appear to be stern but always had a heart of gold.  Maurice lived life on his own terms, leaving behind a legacy of achievement, wisdom and treasured memories.  A remarkable life, a remarkable man.  Forever loved, never forgotten.
