PEAT, Neville Douglas, MNZM - Neville died peacefully on Sunday March 1, 2026, at Dunedin Hospital, after a short illness; in his 79th year. 

Neville was a much loved and respected husband and friend of Mary, adored and inspiring father of Sophora, and admired and respected father-in-law of Hamish, and treasured Pop of Gracie, Oscar, and wee Florence, loved son of the late Jean and Ernie Peat, and respected and loved brother and brother-in-law of Russell and Irina, and loved uncle to his niece and nephews. 
Thanks to the Doctors, and Nurses of Ward 8A and 8C for their excellent care of Neville. 

In honour of Neville's wishes a private cremation has been held and a Celebration of his life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 2.00pm, on Saturday March 21.  In lieu of flowers donations to Orokonui Ecosanctuary are welcome and you can do this below.  Messages to The Peat Family C/- PO Box 5013, Dunedin 9054, or below.
