On May 12, 2026, peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice; aged 96 years. Beloved husband of 72 years to Vera. Treasured father and father-in-law of Stephen and Karen (Brisbane), Jeanette and partner Allan. Cherished grandad of John, Lee, and Holly, and great grandad to Bohdi, and Allereia. A wonderful and loved brother, uncle and friend.
Special thanks to Dr Marie Thomas, the team at Dunedin South Medical Centre for their care over many years, Ward 7C, Dunedin Hospital, and the Otago Community Hospice, who cared for George over his final days. - A service of celebration of George's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 11am on Tuesday May 19, followed by private cremation.
