MOLTENO, Theresa Elizabeth Sylvia (Tess, nee Schuurmans-Stekhoven)
Born October 14, 1941 - Died peacefully on October 27, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony, adored and admired mother of Nina, Tim, and Camilla, and loved mother-in-law to Julian. Dearly loved grandmother of Christopher, Emma, and James Taylor; Peter, Oliver, Theo, Linus, and Charlotte Molteno; and Rachael, Delta, and Nicola Cox; and much loved by the partners of her grandchildren: Katy, Rosie, and Jana, Great-Grandma to Peter, and Max.
Tess lived an extraordinary life, she was a teacher, farmer, clinical psychologist, builder, and director of Molteno Ophthalmic, passionate gardener, wonderful hostess, and loving wife, mother, and friend. Thank you to the staff of Leslie Groves for their care of Tess.
A Memorial Service for Tess will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 3.00pm on Saturday October 31. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
