Supplier Code of Conduct for InvoCare NZ Ltd
1. Introduction
InvoCare Australia Pty Limited, InvoCare New Zealand Limited, Singapore Casket Company (Private) Limited referred to as "InvoCare" in this document. InvoCare is committed to our core values: Collaboration, Accountability, Responsiveness, Excellence, and Safety (C.A.R.E.S). We expect our suppliers to uphold these values and comply with all applicable laws and international standards, including the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and ILO conventions. This Code sets out the minimum standards expected.
2. Purpose and scope
This Code sets out minimum standards for suppliers across five key areas:
- People
- Health & Safety
- Environment
- Business Ethics
- Governance & Management
It applies to all suppliers, including subcontractors, any other third-party providers and contributors to their supply chains.
3. Code Application
Suppliers must comply with:
- All relevant laws and regulations
- This Code
- InvoCare policies and contract terms
This Code applies to all entities that supply goods or services directly or indirectly to InvoCare, including employees, related entities, contractors, and any contributor to their supply chain.
Suppliers are expected to comply with the principles outlined in this Code in a manner that is fit for purpose for their business. This ensures that compliance is practical and proportionate.
Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination.
4. People
Suppliers must:
- prohibit forced labour, child labour, and ensure fair treatment and working conditions.
- pay fair wages and provide clear employment terms.
- ensure reasonable working hours and fair overtime compensation.
- promote equal and fair treatment and prohibit discrimination, harassment, and abuse.
- allow workers to join unions and provide grievance mechanisms.
- use ethical hiring practices and avoid excessive reliance on temporary contracts.
5. Health & Safety
Suppliers must:
- comply with legal requirements and follow industry standards.
- provide a safe, hygienic workplace.
- implement health and safety policies, training, and reporting.
6. Environment
Suppliers must:
- comply with environmental laws.
- manage environmental risks.
- support sustainability and reduce carbon footprint.
7. Business Ethics
Suppliers must:
- comply with anti-bribery laws and maintain anti-bribery policies.
- avoid giving gifts or entertainment that could influence decisions.
- avoid conflicts of interest and notify InvoCare of any potential conflicts.
- ensure fair competition and report anti-competitive behavior.
- maintain accurate records and avoid fraudulent actions.
8. Data Protection
Suppliers must:
- protect confidential and personal information.
- comply with data protection laws.
- report cybersecurity incidents.
- implement robust cybersecurity policies and training.
9. Management and Governance
Suppliers must:
- adopt or establish an adequate management system to ensure compliance and manage risks, including modern slavery, if applicable.
- perform periodic evaluations including of their subcontractors and cooperate with InvoCare audits.
- prepare for business disruptions with continuity plans.
10. Reporting
Suppliers must report breaches of this Code to InvoCare management. Anonymous disclosures can be made via our Whistleblower Policy.
11. Review
This Code will be reviewed periodically, and any amendments will be approved by the Executive Leadership team.

InvoCare is committed to conducting business in an ethical manner that is held to our high standards. As such, we require our partners to comply with the standards set out in our policies and procedures.
